Ottawa business leaders, managers and HR professionals convened on Oct. 7 at Rogers Centre for the combined Best Places to Work Employer Summit and DisruptHR Ottawa 2025, a dual event organized to discuss talent challenges and opportunities. The Employer Summit celebrated the top-20 recipients of Best Places to Work 2025. Following the awards luncheon, Alastair Summerly of Ottawa Education Group discussed the talent paradox in Ottawa, Karen Craft of CraftXecs moderated a panel discussion and Samara Belitzky of Emond Harnden LLP provided an employment law update. DisruptHR then hosted a cocktail, followed by presentations from eight speakers.
The Employer Summit was sponsored by WCG Employment Ontario, Emond Harnden LLP, Meldrum Horne, Ottawa Education Group, iHR Advisory Services, uOttawa Co-op and Professional Development Institute and CAA Business.
